Do you have a secret wish to put patterns on fabric?
Are you a quilt maker, designer or simply drawn to patterning textiles?
Do you have a special project in mind where you need to put colour and pattern on fabric?

Colour Vie Workshops are just what you’ve been looking for!

Learn how to create your own printed and dyed cloth while discovering the power of colour.

Discover how to mix the specific hues you want.

Find out how to set up your own studio at home.

Participate in intensive one and two day workshops in a fully equipped textile studio.

“Complex Cloth Surfaces”
Sat. Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and
Sun. Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On the first day of this workshop you will build
a surface structure for fabrics from scratch. Using tools, processes and colour combinations, the ‘ground cloth’ will be prepared. On the second day you will be pleating and dyeing the fabric, then over- dyeing, stamping, painting, spraying and embellishing with gold pigments and metallic foil until you have produced exciting fabrics with depth and interest. The layering of techniques will give you a solid beginning to create complex cloth.
