  • Machine needs to have the capacity to drop the feed dogs

Acquire the skills to use your needle and thread with your feed dogs down. This workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to be in control of the free motion designs you create. A great base to further your future creativity should you wish to thread paint, craft thread lace and/or free motion quilt your own quilts.

Students will be educated on the tools and techniques needed to create with free machine thread work. Students can expect to come away with a good understanding of free machine quilting as you create several small samples of your own. On the second day, students will create a small thread lace piece using your hoop and wash a-way stabilizers. Thread painting and sketching will be also discussed & demonstrated.
