Tips and Tricks to make building blocks for quilts (Part 2 of 2-part virtual class)
The number of quilt patterns is unlimited, but most can be broken down into a few basic building blocks. This 2-part virtual class will focus on perfecting those building blocks. After taking this 2-part Virtual class, you’ll be able to tackle any quilt pattern with ease!
Part 1 – Will focus on the basic shapes like half-square triangles, flying geese, and hour-glass blocks. These units are the key to almost every quilt pattern. There are many methods and tools that can be used to make these building blocks. This virtual class will explore the pros and cons of several different methods for each unit, so you can choose the one that suits you. You’ll be sewing the units at home and will get immediate feedback on how you can make better building blocks for better looking quilts.
Part 2 – Once you’ve mastered the basic shapes, we’re going to move into some more challenging units. Y seams don’t need to be difficult and neither does curved piecing. No special tools or sewing machine feet are required.
