Ruti's Needlebed
One of the Block of the month quilts is called "A Toonie a Time". Come each month and for a toonie, taxes included, you will get the fabric and instructions for a block. This is a fun way to try different patterns which could be used for a whole quilt. All the blocks use thangles which is a fast efficient way to make 1/2 square triangles.
Ruti also has a Quilting Club from 1 pm to 3 pm on the second Friday of the month. Come learn a different technique each month as you experiment with exciting ideas. You will sew at the class and go home with a new project started. Membership is $30 a year.
Did you know?

TWO CRAFTY WOMEN SELLING SILK DUPIONI
Susan and her sister have been creating and selling Silk Dupioni and Cotton Batik assortment selections on EBay for the past two years, with excellent feedback. They have sample packs of Silk Dupioni and Charm Packs of 100% Cotton Batiks made up and ready to go. They also customize any pack. 40 pieces of Silk Dupioni - this sells for $12.00 (plus shipping of approx. $5.00). ( in this selection the yardage was approximately 1.0 yards - the smallest size was 4"x4" (this is the smallest that we will cut in Dupioni) and the largest size was 10"x7½".
